- Class Size and Program Capacity:
Pursuant to California Education Code 46600–46610, approval of an Interdistrict Transfer Application is contingent upon available space and capacity in District programs. The District annually reviews capacity and reserves the right to deny requests based on limits in a specialized program or class size. This may include, but is not limited to, class size, Special Education, 504, or Honors programs. Parents/guardians will be notified in writing of the status of the request. If denied initially, applicants will be added to a waiting list by lottery, and should space become available, applicants will be accepted in order of the waiting list. Also, denials based on class size or program capacity shall not prevent parents/guardians from reapplying for an Interdistrict Transfer Application in subsequent years.
- Transportation:
Approval of an Interdistrict Transfer Application does not include transportation.
Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation unless the student qualifies under one of the following: - Foster youth
- Student experiencing homelessness
- Transportation required by a student’s IEP
