The Yuba Sutter Bar Association is pleased to announce that it will be granting scholarships to graduating seniors of local high schools in Yuba and Sutter Counties.  The awards will be based on scholarship and need and will be awarded for the purpose of continuing the student’s education.  Although there will be a preference for granting the award to students who propose to study law, political science, or government, the award may be given to students studying any other area.

Up to twelve scholarships at the individual school level will be awarded in the amount of $2,500.00, and one all-school scholarship of $3,500.00 will be selected from all of the applicants.

Each application should include the following documents:

• A written statement of the financial ability of the student or his or her family and the amount of money available for the student's education from other sources.

• School Transcript(s). Transcripts do not need to be sealed, official transcripts.

• A written statement describing the course of study the student intends to pursue and their reasons for doing so. (Not to exceed 2 pages.)
