Sutter Union High School (SUHS) offers behind the wheel Driver Training for students that are between the ages of 15 ½ to 17 ½.
Once the student has passed an approved Driver Education curriculum, the Parent/Guardian and student can choose to enroll in a local driving academy or through the program offered at SUHS.
The behind the wheel Driver Training cost for students is $176.00 which is required to be paid before training begins. Fees may be paid at the ASB Window or through the Husky Webstore. There is a $13.64 processing fee on the webstore.
Agree to abide by the rules for Driver Training.
Possess a valid permit.
Be respectful of the other students, your actions will affect the other students in the vehicle.
It is the student’s responsibility to know the date and time of the behind the wheel Driver Training.
Be early to your scheduled behind the wheel appointment.
If for any reason you need to reschedule, you will need to contact Mrs. Little in the Library during school hours at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Students are scheduled based on the availability of the Driving Training Instructor, Driving Training vehicle, and weather.
SUHS does not provide documentation to other Driver Training programs confirming the amount of time driven with an instructor.
If you are not at the Driver Training car at the schedule time to leave and the Instructor leaves without you, you will be considered a “no show”
“No shows” will be removed from the Driver Training schedule and placed when a vacancy becomes available.
Three consecutive no shows will result in the student to be removed from the Driver Training program. No monies will be refunded.
After reading the rules for behind the wheel Driving Training program offered at SUHS, please sign and return the bottom portion with your permit and DL119 form to be placed on the waiting list for driving.
