ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) Training is lead by an instructor to provide preparation and a plan for individuals and organizations on how to more proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or active shooter event. Whether it is an attack by an individual person or by an international group of professionals intent on conveying a political message through violence, ALICE Training option based tactics have become the accepted response, versus the traditional “lockdown only” approach.

  • Sutter High School will be administering the ASVAB assessment instrument, which is part of the ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP) on November 20th.  The test will be given to all juniors.  If there are any seniors interested in taking the test, they will need to sign up in the Counseling and Career Center by November 13th.  This test is an invaluable tool to help students with their future educational and career plans.

The ASVAB CEP test is a multiple aptitude battery that tests a student’s knowledge in eight areas including: general science, arithmetic reasoning, word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, mathematics knowledge, electronics information, auto and shop information, and mechanical comprehension. The test battery enables students to evaluate their skills, estimate their performance in academic and vocational endeavors, and identify potentially satisfying careers.

The information received from the test is only for the student’s benefit and will not be shared with military recruiters unless the student indicates that he/she is interested in the military.

If you have any questions please contact Mr. Landa by email at mlanda@sutterhigh.k12.ca.us or by phone at 822-5161 ext. 218.
