Montana State University (MSU)
Applying to MSU: Our application is simple and easy because it doesn't require students to submit any letters of recommendation, essays, or transcripts. To be admitted to Montana State, students should meet ONE of the following four requirements:
- 2.5 cumulative high school GPA
- 22 ACT *
- 1120 SAT *
- Rank in the top half of their class
* Test scores are optional for Fall 2022 admission and scholarships. We will still accept test scores and can admit students based off of those scores, but they are not required.
To apply for admission, students must complete our online application and self-report their GPA in order to be considered for merit-based scholarship opportunities.
Deadlines: We operate on a rolling admissions basis and do not have an application deadline or a decision deadline here at Montana State. However, we encourage students to review the Prospective Student Checklist to stay on track for fall enrollment. If students complete their application for admission prior to November, they will not miss out on any deadlines for scholarships, housing or financial aid. With that being said, students can apply at any point throughout their senior year.
We understand that students may have a variety of questions while navigating their college search process. If your students have questions, please don't hesitate to contact the Office of Admissions by calling 1-888-MSU-CATS or emailing email@example.com.
