For over twenty years, Gnomon has educated many of the world’s best digital artists. Called "the MIT of visual effects" by Fast Company magazine, Gnomon offers a variety of educational options to help students reach their goals in the entertainment industry, with both degree and vocational certificate programs, specialized courses for high school students and over 100 individual courses for professional enrichment.
 
Students looking to enroll at Gnomon can choose to take individual courses or apply for admission to a full time program.
 
Full-Time Programs
Admission is required for Gnomon’s full time programs, which include the BFA Degree in Digital Production and 2-year Certificate in Digital Production. All applicants are required to speak with an admissions representative by phone or in person to ensure that their program of interest is appropriate.

Individual Courses
Individual courses can be taken quarterly on a first-come first-serve basis. No formal admissions process is necessary to register for individual courses, however, admissions consultations are recommended.

PORTFOLIO GUIDELINES

Gnomon's portfolio standards reflect our commitment to accept only the candidates we feel show potential to succeed, both in our program and in the visual effects and entertainment industries. Prior to officially submitting, interested applicants are encouraged to send artwork samples to an admissions advisor for feedback and guidance: admissions@gnomon.edu.
 

Each program at Gnomon has a unique set of portfolio guidelines:
